1. Field of the Invention
The present invention relates to a computerized method for generating an automatically customized health plan for a patient or group of patients. More particularly, the present invention relates to a method of generating a customized health plan for an individual patient by performing a statistical analysis of the patient's medical history data and health-related behaviors. The present invention further relates to a method of generating a health plan for a patient group having similar interests, habits or likes and dislikes, wherein the patient group members are made to agree to certain constraints and restrictions so as to provide a set of manageable and reasonable recommendations for each group member. Most importantly, the present invention allows a physician to coordinate, optimize and customize a health plan for an individual patient, while at the same time meets the needs of the patient group, the patient's physician and/or the group's physician(s).
2. Prior Art
As medical advances have increased life expectancy, many people are living for decades with devastating chronic illnesses such as cancer, diabetes, AIDS, diabetes, hypertension and/or other such chronic health conditions. Such chronic conditions require a long-term, organized and consistent regiment of medical attention to maintain the health of the patient. Unfortunately, the health care system in the United States is not organized in such a way to provide such a regimented regimen of healthcare. With insurance and prescription drug coverage being unaffordable for many people, healthcare in the United States is fragmented, resulting in inefficient and inadequate treatment regimens.
A health care system for managing the care of chronically ill patients should be patient centric and organized to facilitate coordination of medical, dental, psychological and/or other types of treatment to those patients.
